Hey folks, Over the last year or two, as traffic to the website has grown and more strain has been put on my web host, I've noticed that page speeds and general site navigation has felt sluggish. I've done what I can to smoothen things out from a software and optimization standpoint, but I've reached a hardware limit so upgrades will need to be done. I'm in the process of looking for a new web host, with the goal of making this website blazing fast again! Nothing really needs to be done on your end, but while I do some research and eventually move forward with it, I may be silent for a while while I try to balance my time. Before the transition, I'll let everyone know. It's possible that certain features will be broken during the switch (i.e. email notification may not go through since that's part of a separate system that may need to be re-configured), but I'm hoping that will be kept to a minimum. Thanks for your ongoing support and patience :) Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. Eric take as long as you need to do what you have to do The info on the site and members help are better than most of the service providers in health care. So I don’t think any one will suffer. As always many thanks for the work that goes on behind the scenes. 🙏👍 ileostomy 31st August 1994 for Crohns Always with great success comes additional problems but extra traffic yahoo! One thing I know about being an ostomate is patients comes with the territory I hope greater traffic brings extra rewards Colostomy Jan 2020 Hey Eric, thanks for taking good care of us. I am in awe of your selflessness and dedication to providing us with the best information available - anywhere- and giving ostomates a voice. You are a treasure. Thank you. Laurie Just a semicolon Hi Eric, Thank you so much for all you do for us. You are incredible!! I hope everyone is remembering to use the Vegan Ostomy link on Amazon when doing their holiday shopping!! We did the majority of our shopping on Amazon and I helped my mom with her shopping and we did it all on my Amazon account. Keep up the great work, Eric. And if there is ever anything I can do to help with anything, let me know!! 😀 -Liza Hi Laurie, Eric has it set up so we can have a small percentage of our Amazon purchases be donated to Vegan Ostomy. If you go to the top of the web page, there is a link that says “Support Me” Under that there are links to Amazon for the US, Canada, and the UK. What I did is clicked on the link and then bookmarked it so every time I go into Amazon, I am automatically set up for VO to get a percentage. It is such an easy way for us all to support all the hard work that Eric does. He also accepts cash donations. He would never make a plug for that in the forums, but I can make it. 😉 -Liza @squeakyandliza.. Liza...thats a great tip!! I now have it bookmarked! Thanks for the easy instruction!! One question tho, after I have it bookmarked, is it automatically added from my order for Erics Support, or do I have to go back into bookmarks & go from there!! I love that we can do this. Though I do not normally order anything on line, I certainly have this Christmas. It looks like this is going to be the way to go compliments of Covid!! My orders have all been thru Canadian Post so far. Because of that I think Making the Cash donation is another great way to thank Eric for all his time & hard work!! I like this a lot!! Linda
