It's my 1st Stomaversary!  I'm certainly not being insensitive to anyone who has problems with their stomas, but it's been a good ride for me so for.  I have not had a single leak in this first year.  I did christen my bed once with an explosion, but that was my fault for being lazy. I marvel at the journey from when my wife and I were, very timidly, dealing with my first few bag changes when we returned from the hospital to the confidence I now have in doing that job.  Still lots to learn, but here's to one year.  You guys are all great, and I thank you for sharing this year with me.     Ulcerative Colitis (1995) Many Happy Returns Glenn. On the  forum we deal with the ups and downs ostomates go through. We need to hear the way newbies have got on and your posts have been so valuable to many. It takes a few minutes to post a topic or experience but you could make a world of difference to someone.
