Has anyone purchased and used the noise muffler for the stealth belt? Does it really work?

After eating I sound like a 1909 model T car…

I'm almost certain I bought the muffler with my first StealthBelt 10 years ago, but don't recall ever really wearing it. It works the same as if you had your hand over your stoma - if that muffles enough, then the muffler for the stealthbelt should work just as well.

Here's a frugal tip, though: get a thin mousepad (not those 1/4", but maybe 1/8" or 1/16") and cut it to fit the inside of your StealthBelt. It's basically the same as the muffler.

Just so you know, adding that extra layer may cause output to pancake more.

I’ve talked to stealthbelt service and still confused…The flange size of my bag on the box says 1 3/4, but measuring the outer rim of the bag flange (like video tutorial on their site) is 2 1/8.

Eric, as a user of stealth belt, is the SB hole 1 3/4 and stretches to 2 1/8..or do I tell them 2 1/8?

trying to avoid return and exchange..

thanks

@rick What appliance are you using? Some brands are tricky to measure, but I'd go with the measured size rather than what the box says.

But in fairness, I've been using the same Stealthbelts between my 2pc and 1pc appliances over the years and have never had an issue where one didn't fit, even though the sizes are different between each appliance.

Hollister two piece pre-cut. Does the hole on the stealthbelt stretch over the flange or is it supposed to fit exactly

On mine, it does have some stretch to it. But I still wouldn't want it to be tight around the base of my appliance, because any shifts of the belt could dig into the very thin plastic that's under that floating flange.
