Just wanted to share my dealings with Stealth Belt.  I recently ordered one of their Stealth Belt Pros.  The morning after ordering I decided that I wanted the Vertical Stingray instead.  I called them and they changed my order.  Fast forward a week and BOTH belts arrived in the mail.  Knowing that this was an obvious mistake that would hurt them, I called today to let them know that they had sent both belts, but I only paid for one.  I had tried both on, and decided that I wanted to keep both.  I told them that I wanted to pay for the one that they did not charge me for.  They would not have it.  At first, they wanted to let me keep the extra for free since it was their mistake.  I couldn't feel good about that, so said that I had to pay.  So, the owner decided that he could not let me pay more than half price.  So, I still have both, and have a very good appreciation for Stealth Belt and their customer service.  Right now, I'm favoring the horizontal, "pro."  I'll give a full review of both horizontal and vertical when I have had a chance to wear them more.

I hope all of you are well.  Stay strong!

What a wonderful testimonial! The people at StealthBelt have always been amazing. Glad it worked out! I've to hear how you like the stingray! I've always wanted to try one myself.

Glenn,

Thanks for sharing this info on Stealth Belt. I’ve been thinking I would like to try one, but my body is still not settled. I still have a wound on my belly. Plus a huge hernia (like a cantaloupe is trying to push through my skin) that will hopefully be repaired in the next 6 months or so. So I feel like I should wait to get an accurate measurement. I assume there isn’t much room for error??

I’m curious to hear what you think of both models.

That was great customer service from Stealth Belt and very commendable behavior on your part, insisting on paying when they said you didn’t have to because it was their mistake. The world needs more people like that!!

Yes, I recommend waiting until things are more settled before measuring/ordering one. While most of the styles are adjustable, you don't want to be on the extreme end of the fitting if things change after you've ordered one.

Yes.  You have a bit of adjustment, but it's pretty close.  I ordered mine too small because I plan to take a bit of weight off, and it fits, but I'm certainly on the edge of it being too small.  Should be perfect when I get back to my normal weight.  Funny thing is, my digestive system is so happy after having surgery, that some weight gain kind of snuck up on me.  Before surgery, I would have at least one major flare a year, and I'd lose lots of weight.  So, I was always worried about being under weight.  Now, for the first time in 25 years, I have to worry about the opposite.  Getting used to the new normal.

Good day, friends!  I am new to the site, and this may have been discussed elsewhere, and if so, I apologize.  The Stealth Belt sounds like just what I need, but the lingering question I have is, can the vertical belt be used with disposable (closed end) bags?

I have certainly enjoyed the content provided, Eric, and have learned so much already!

Keep up the good work. We newbies especially appreciate you!

Welcome to the forum! I'm not a user of the vertical style of StealthBelt, nor do I use closed bags, but I would suggest removing the belt when you need to remove/replace your bag. It just makes things easier and you don't really want to keep it on when you are removing the bag (this isn't a problem if you are emptying from a drainable bag).

Let us know if you have any other questions.
