Hi Boris and welcome. Maybe a coincidence that this started around the time of the vacation. Has your output changed or and change in diet. I have read that white spots maybe to do with blood supply to the stoma. How is the colour on the rest of the stoma.

I have leaks but it’s not output it’s like the sealing ring melts and leaks past the flange of the wafer.

We've had several reports of people who have suddenly developed appliance problems (of all kinds and from all brands), so it's not just you.

Unfortunately, it's not easy to determine what exactly is going on with sudden changes like you describe. 

I do not believe it's related to the vaccine, but more likely due to some other change in the environment or manufacturing of those products. 

As John already asked, has there been any change in your diet? Any other changes like new medication?

Has this been happening with products from a single box or across multiple boxes that you purchased at different times (and which are less likely to be from the same batch of products)? 

Also my stoma has developed a white spot on the tip this has been going on for about 3 months now, I am waiting to see a stoma nurse, just wondering if anyone had had a similar problem 

This would not be a "normal" thing, so it's best to check with your stoma nurse to see if she can visually identify what that white spot is. 

Unfortunately current conditions with outbreaks, lock downs, sometimes lack of personnel. Quantity and quality of many things are erratic. Quality issues have been a problem for many years now with offshoring which can lead to quality control issues at every stage of production. Lately it just gets even worse.

Delays and short changing quality of shipping may cause you to receive things that are now less than optimal. They sat too long. Froze or fried.

Though I think vaccines are in the top best things ever invented. These mRNA ones are different. I personally think they suck, but got them. But I think it would be very odd for it to have any more than a short term effect on the stoma and skin. If it did have any effect, it should not last more than a week or two. As your immune system is activated by the vaccine effect. Then things should go back to normal. I will bite my tongue very hard at this point as to other possible long term effects.... But I don't think those other "possible" effects would relate much to the stoma situation.
