so any tips anyone has to share would be very welcome. Don't crowd whatever you're cooking! Airflow is what makes air fryers work, so as long as you keep that in mind, you'll be good :) Enjoy!! Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. So, we replaced our old toaster oven with an air fryer oven. I just made a small batch of home fries and wow, I'm pretty impressed! Do any of you have an air fryer? Any tips to share? Hi, I debated buying one for the past few years. I tend to cook from scratch and was not sure if one would be all that useful for me. But I have a instant pot pressure cooker and came across one in my local thrift store from instant pot that looked like it had not been used. The price was ab out half price of a new one so I grabbed it. I have to say it works quiet well, the only down side being how much can be cooked at one time. Its not much but for a small household like mine it works out ok. I looked into getting a spray bottle for oil to lightly oil the foods before frying but found lightly tossing foods in a bowl with a little olive oil and spices works well enough for me. I do not like to deep fry foods at home and the air fryer lid works better than my oven for fish n chips and cooking premade falafel which is what I bought it for. Have not figured out how to make fresh falafel in it yet. That said when I get a new oven which is long over due I will get a convection oven which may make the air fryer obsolete for my uses. cygo cygo I have to say the air fryer has been a huge hit. Was impressed with the food from the one my Mum in law has. Benefits are it’s healthier, quicker and very easy to clean. In these times when the price of electricity is so high! It’s the go to kitchen gadget for savings. I would say if cooking for numbers go large 👍 ileostomy 31st August 1994 for Crohns We cook with one at work. The only thing I don’t like is the kitchen can become pretty greasy due to no exhaust fan like a stove would have. But yes amazing aren’t they? Hi everyone! My old air fryer broke. I'm currently looking for a new one. Thanks! @johnnym Hey Johnny. The one that we're using is from De'Longhi, and we've had it for over five years. It still works great, but the non-stick coating is not as non-stick as it once was! I wish they'd make these out of stainless steel, and I can worry about cleaning them after. They'd last forever if the pan wasn't non-stick. Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate.
