Eric,

When reading a post and I decide to "Like or Unlike", it isn't a live button for me...  now, I am now using a new iPad Pro 10.5" with iOS 10.3.3, instead of the iPad Air 2 as before, and I don't know if the new 3D Touch is what is causing the problem, but..  I am able to use the "Reply, Quote and Report" buttons though, so this is curious to me.

Yep, me too. I assumed that I was doing something wrong. I'm sure that it used to work on my iPad

I have an Apple desk top and I have never figured out the 'likes'.

I now see you have now added it! Way to go.  I can officially like you all now! Thanks.

Glad it works for you, Dona! This could be an iPad incompatibility that I'll need to sort out.

Update: The forum developers are aware of this issue and will be working on a fix.  I'll update this thread again when it's fixed.

I see this is still an issue....  any word from the developers?

I think it's important to be able to express that I like a forum members write up, it encourages more input and further inputs if they/we know we are being read.

I totally agree. I know a new version is expected soon (they are in testing now) which one hope fixes this problem.

I'll do my own testing when it's available and I'll update this thread after I do.

Could it be that the 'like' button only works when one is signed in? It MIGHT be the case. I am trying to be more observant! Anyway, nice when it works!

It will only work when signed in, but people using IOS devices are having the problem (it works with everything else).

I'm sure it'll be sorted out eventually!

Yes, Thanks!

What I know about computer systems  I could write on half an ostomy bag with a crayon! Not much.

Quick update. There has been a few updates to the forum, but I have not applied them yet (I would have to do a lot of testing before I'm comfortable with it). It has a few good features, but this ios problem fix will be added very soon so I'm holding off until that's available.

I'll update you guys again when I apply the new version.

Hi Marcie!!   I’m about 4’ 4” tall!  LOL.  Sorry to hear the issues you went through, we all have our horror stories....  I’m glad to see you on this blog sharing and caring all the same.

I've only been Bag wearer for 15+ months, but with Eric’s help, I’ve come a long way..  plus being in a wheelchair 27+ years, 15 surgeries to combat pain and fix what’s wearing out, I’ve done fairly well.   Just hanging in there and doing my best!   😮😀

Nice to meet you Marcie!   Talk to you soon I hope..

Of course....  Marcie!

Must be a pro and can out beat me!!  What happened if u don't mind.” - I was in a one car accident in May 1990... came around a corner too fast in my ‘race’ car and flipped it several times, through me out the sunroof and snapped me backwards at the waist level and broke 4 vertebrae, leaving me paralyzed at the T11/12 level. Due to my paralysis I ended up with a a nuerogenic bowel, prolapsed colon, and years of constipation due to pain drugs for the chronic pain...  the Colostomy was the best answer for me being able to just eliminate properly. The 15 surgeries started in 2003 trying to discover what the chronic pain was caused by and hoping to ‘cure’ it. But, after removing the 12” Herrington Rods, removing the cysts and the spinal tethering, shunts implanted, and removed, a pain pump implanted and removed.... the end result was just going to the medication route. I’ve been on Dilaudid and Fentanyl since 2007! It helps the pain out about 40% and I also do the RFTC (Radio Frequency Thermal Coagulation) treatments, twice a year,  on the medial nerves coming off the spine that carry the pain signals to the brain.. and for 4 to 6 months my pain is better, but the medial nerves regenerate and so the pain gets worse until I can afford, with insurance, to repeat the treatments. Painful, but another way to combat the pain. Other surgeries were for a hip I broke falling forward in my chair and snapping the femur head off and perturding the bone through my buttock! I pulled it back through, tied my shirt around myself to hold it in and was able to get into my car and drive myself to the ER.. the hip replacement didn’t take, so it had to come out, and to make things worse, I ended up with MRSA. Did the PIC line ordeal with a cocktail of antibiotics for 60 days to rid me of the infections. Carpal Tunnel surgery on both hands, gall bladder removal.... and I am 7 months post surgery, still rehabbing from a major right shoulder rotator cuff repair which was allot more extensive than expected, 10 weeks in-patient Rehab, and still doing out patient rehab due to me being in a chair and over use my arms from what they are designed to do, being in a Wheelchair.

I’m very independent, owning my home and taking care of myself (after being married a few times)...  down here in Austin, Tx!  Was a programmer and certified computer tech for many years, as well as a CCNP network specialists, but have slowed down and have a few calmer hobbies, but still tinker on the Computers/iPad/iPhone..  just for fun! Besides still trying to chase the ladies, I’m just living life the best I can, still with a smile on my face!

Eric has been a great help in my Colostomy recovery... WOCN services are poor here in Austin, though getting better. But, I was left on my own to figure this world out, and if it wasn’t for Eric’s site, I don’t know how long it would have taken to get to where I’m at now with myself and Mr. Stomy! Ha!!  Love the forums, have not been as regular as I like to be, but getting my schedule back to normal with the shoulder recovery, so I hope to be a regular, again!

I hope I didn’t bore you Marcie, but you asked!  😀  there you go!  You noticed my nickname, Gimparoo... sorta a way to keep the fun going in life. But, you can call me Mark!

I’ll check back tomorrow ...  Cat is hungry and I need to rest my back and shoulder!

see ya!
