48 years old. recent diagnosis of colorectal cancer. came out of my resection surgery with a surprise iliostomy. will be having another surg soon to either reconnect or permanent colostomy. this has been a crazy experience. i am a nurse and this was a steep learning curve. i had little to no past experience with ostomys. ive gotten loads of info from lurking VO in the 2+ months ive had my iliostomy and look forward to learning more as a forum member. :)
