That's quite a family history, Felicity!

I was born and raised just north of Toronto, Canada.  I currently (and for the past 12 or so years) have been living east of the city, in Durham Region.

We grew up in Brooklyn,  ny. After marriage,  we lived in Houston and Louisville. We.moved to Baltimore and raised our family of 7 kids, married them off and are reaping a harvest of 23 grands so far.  (Our revenge on the Nazis. )

God is taking good care of us all. Proof is that we're alive to appreciate it.

Hi Tekohiwi,

My husband and I are going to New Zealand in January. We only have time for South Island ... (three weeks of driving around).  We tried to figure out a way to do both  North and South islands , but there is just too much to see and do. Your area looks wonderful too. We are very excited to travel to your beautiful country and we hope to return to do the north Island someday.

We live in the San Diego area of California.

Onset of severe Ulcerative Colitus Oct.2012. Subtotal colectomy with illiostomy July 2015; Peristomal hernia repair ( Sugarbaker, mesh, laparoscopic) May 2017.

Hi Donna

I agree there is too much to see it all in one go - unless you have a couple of months. We hope to buy a self contained caravan next year and have a good look at the South Island too. We are very biased but the Coromandel is beautiful. We have been to San Diego a couple of years ago and loved it. Enjoy your trip. Bill 😎

Born S. side of Chicago llinois, schooled there, moved to S. Florida early '70's, then to Central Florida  since. I have a urostomy, but my wife had a colostomy which I took care of before she passed, my thoughts go out to colostomates a much tougher row to hoe.

Welcome to the forums, Butch. I'm sorry to hear about your wife, but it sounds like she was lucky to have you.
