Because I was worried about the dockworkers’ strike and if toilet paper supplies could be affected, my husband went to the store this afternoon and bought two packs (two different brands, in case I had a favorite). Now I see on the news that the strike is settled for now. I am relieved, and happy to have friends here at VO who will understand how I feel! 😅

PS I am a rinser, which saves on tp - highly recommend it.

As for me, I’m a tp girl. But I often have rather fluid output. I’m glad there will not be a tp shortage. 😊

It is a bit worrisome when I think there may be a shortage of TP & I too am glad there seems to be a settlement of some kind.  I have such sppreciation to the men & or women who transport of goods. We all remember when covid hit & so many people went crazy buying way more then they needed off the grocery store shelves. Being small town here, the shelves were naked of TP & so many other everyday products. That went on for much longer then I was ever comfy for!!

With 6 people in this household, there was cause for concern. We are a days trip away from Costco so that wasn't an option.  BAR towels are cheap thru & dollar stores so we thought we would bought a buy a bunch & if need be, we could cut them in half. We also thought containers you'd use for ketchup, the soft sided ones would be a part of surviving no TP. The plan was, fill the bottles with water& give a thorough rinse off, then dry off with a towel half & hang to dry using it 2 uses for each 1/2  towel. A big bottle of bleach & hot wash and repeat!  It seemed having a plan magically loaded the store shelves so we could restock at home again

There was a discussion here at VO a while ago about "Bidets" and such.  After reading the conversation & a tip or two, I started shopping for the best one to suit my needs. I was using 4 plastic cups of water on my rolling 3 drawer plastic  dresser that hold my supplies & bcuz my Iron in my blood & Potassium seem to hate me, affecting my memory for small things, I also kept a small jug of water on the counter for those side affect forgetful times! Ugh! I was dealing with new nasty arthritis in my hands & fingers and became way more clumsy then usual, so I decided to bite the bullet & buy myself a cupboard mounted warm & cold water Bidet sprayer! Longer story short, no more spilling & the quickest pouch emptying times ever. Two rinses & a quick TP drying of the mouth of the pouch &  I'm out of there after after washing my hands. I love this little hose set up & really wonder why I waited so long to order one off Amazon & thank Heaven, my Son installed it for me.  I'm ever so grateful for this set up & would encourage any pouch rinser out there to get one also. It's just handy beyond what I thought it would be. I paid under 130 bucks for it, yup, we pay in Deer here in Canada, lol, not really, but the expense is so worth the value to me, in so many ways!!

I use a hand held bidet device that really cuts down on TP use.  It makes rinsing out the bag fairly convenient.

My kid on the other hand......... lol  😎

Speaking of TP, I never trust that public washrooms will have it, so I always bring a small pack of tissue just in case.

Some public washrooms I've been to have these horrible toilet paper dispensers that are a pencil diameter hole in the wall, where you have to pull the toilet paper from it. But it often just gets plugged up, so you can never get any. I have no idea whose bright idea that design is, but 9/10 times they don't work!

Usually, when I'm in a public washroom or porta potty, I'll pre-dispense the toilet paper before I start emptying my bag, just so I know there's a usual supply! 😆

I do this every single time, no matter where I am. Even at home. 😂

... Yes! Same here! I use two connected squares folded in half & place a corner on my finger & my finger in the center then I proceed to wrap it around my index finger to pop into the opening & dry it, 1st getting outside drips if any. I line up single squares for extra drips & then bcuz I'm in love with my new cupboard,  side mounted, Bidet hose sprayer, I'm going to tell you again that I too highly recommend it for convenience  for rinsing, I can dry any toilet seat drips with a single square  too. It's pretty easy to install just needing the correct drill bit. 🧻 📃 🚾 🚽 🧻 💧 🚿 🚰,  no more cups I always manage to spill at least 3 times a week, 🚱 !  Have a nice Fall 🍁 🍂 🍁 🍂 🍁  Day!

@davidinthailand  Thank you David from Thailand... my appologies for the late reply!  Yes, that Bidet hose works  amazingly well in saving me time in cleaning up water cups spills just trying to get ready to empty my pouch.

Arthritis has set into my joints & very quickly,  but no surprise into my hands. So I did lots of clumsy spilling if water & cleaning it up. Since having this fancy little Bidet hose, no spills & it's made for faster time involved when rinsing my pouch.

Had I realized how affected I would have been from Arthritis and how this Bidet hose could changed things for the better for me... I'd have had one Installed a long time ago.

Wow, this almost sounds like a commercial but it's not. Lol!

For those who use a bidet attachment, is it spraying cold water, or do you have the option to heat the water? If cold, is that comfortable when cleaning your undercarriage?
