Hi All, Here in Ireland we are being battered by storm Ophelia. while along side other parts of the world hit by storms recently this is small but 2 people have lost their lives. Schools have shut and work places closing early. Power lines also going down so any one over here leave out supplies handy and a torch. Bad enough having a night time leak but one you cant see that would be crap. Tony H from (where in the world) you are on the coast so hope all well with you and your loved ones.

Wow, that's crazy - I'm on the other side of the world and we just got a very unusual storm last night that knocked out many trees in the area.  When I looked outside, it honestly resembled a hurricane.

The evening news is on and parts of the country are getting red rain, seems its sand and dust this storm has blown in from the Sahara Desert.

WOW.. sounds like a really bad one there. Here is a fun website for following the weather. It has a real time map of the world. Off to the right you can choose to see wind, waves, temp etc.

Thats how I know that 9 Meter waves are predicted for the Irish sea. Kind of a fun place to look if you are into weather. Hope you stay hunkered down there!

Cheers folks, its still rough but no where near as bad, Most of NI is without power and we have been very lucky, we made sandwiches for our supper earlier on just in case as our cooker is electric. Would have been so romantic! sandwiches by candle light! My wife just looked at me when I said that!

I remember preparing a bean salad for the family during one long power outage. It was pretty fun, actually.
