Hi Folks, Could Any one have taken a guess at how 2020 would have panned out. Had a world wide pandemic been suggested it would have been seen as more of a Hollywood script than reality. The holidays will be a little different this year but it’s a time to reflect and look forward to a new year. I would just like to wish all my ostomy friends a happy peaceful Holiday Season. Good Health and take care 🙏👍💪 ileostomy 31st August 1994 for Crohns ...So true John!! Its here and its happening! Christmas too. I am okay with staying home and even learned to shop on the internet!! I admit it was fun getting deals on free shipping and not going in the stores. This always tired me out terribly anyways for the little in store shopping I did do. I was never one to just go for looking, I had to have a mission to get me in them!! My hero, my Son always took my list & did most of my Christnas shopping for me B4CO19! Not much baking this year, just dessert for our Christmas dinner Christmas Day!! It will be nice having the littlest grand here as they live in my basement suite so we're in this COVID19 thing together! Gwen is now 13 months old, has 8 big front teeth & has walked 5 steps unassisted! She & I are tight!!! Lol!! Its snowing like flurry outside! Merry Christmas to all! Happy Holidays if thats your preference too! I wish everyone here a very healthy New Year and a good old fashioned JAB IN THE ARM!!!! lol! Be safe, Be well, and Behave yourselves!! 2021 is on its way!!! We are making history here. Let's make it te best history we can! Linda Hi John, There is no way I ever could have imagined everything that would happen this last year. It just shows that you have to appreciate the good things when they happen and muddle through the bad times the best you can. I wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season and hope we all thrive in 2021!! -Liza Best wishes to all of you. 2020 is one of those years that none of us will forget any time soon. Let the experiences and patience-building exercises we've collected move us forward as stronger people. Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. I wish everybody a lovely holiday season and a new year filled with good health and easier times in the world. Here is a picture of our merry little Christmas tree. It is a great little tree - we have had it for five years and my husband just wraps plastic around it and puts it away after the holidays. Decided this year to not put any ornaments on it because it already has flocking and artificial cherries, so just placed a little filigree angel on top. Colostomy 4/30/18. @llholiday...very nice! Did you make the quilted tree skirt? I've decided thru this covid thing that I need to start quilting again. Sewing sets my mind at peace like no other craft. Its been eons since I made only 2 quilts. One in grade 10 & another for our babies crib with the Noah's Ark theme using baby animals. The baby quilt has been a good addition to my little granddaughters crid too. If sure gave me warm fuzzy feelings & a rush of memories seeing her under it! Lol! Thats a nice little tree. In our town many had trees up before December I think this covid thing makes everyone want a big change & certainly a chance to move forward...maybe quickly too! It has been challenging times, sad times for many & hearing it has changed into spreading more quickly is concerning. But then the Flu bug does that every year too & vaccinations are altered for it. This is how the JAB/shot for the CO19 came about more quickly. Really, we are fortunate for that. So certainly carry on firmly with restrictions, hand washing & masks. I'm pretty sure every single one of us are frequent & thorough hand washers to begin with. I must admit it bothered me that the general public had to be told to wash there hands!! I have a small issue with that to say the least. Hand washing is something I was taught & expected to do well as a child & if we were to eat a meal & it has been carried out thru to my adult years & taught to any child in my care. Best of everything folks & thankyou all for continued support here whenever you can in so many ways. Be Kind, Be Safe & Be Calm are what our PHO says. Good words to live by! Linda
