Thinking positive thoughts for you!  Crohn's Colitis, Ilieostomy, Proctocolectomy November 2017 Best of luck, Felicity! Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. READY FOR BATTLE, AND YER GOIN WIN!! ileostomy 31st August 1994 for Crohns It's nice of you to try to cheer us up with your picture. It appears that you have a good heart. or face or something inside . Whatever the situation, keep smiling. Now is not an appropriate time to remind you that manure happens. Keep strong. Well Zvitusk, Manure happens !! lol ileostomy 31st August 1994 for Crohns Well, kido- As your reading this, IT IS OVER !!!!!!!!!! Thank goodness!! Love your picture.. :-) Hope you got the pain meds going and rested ------ Get alot of staples?? They didn't bother me much having them taken out--but when they came in to take them out?? I told them "When you put me out you can!!!"  had 2 different types,, The long 7-8 inche jobbers HOOKS- had to say in for 4 weeks- was in nursing home and learning how to walk again with those-- :-( --- Now that was a different story-but better than what I made it out to be.. I think staples are better scaring and easier taken out than the cat gut ones.. Now, sip your liquid diet..... and better days ahead of you--- I am so pleased it is over for you ---------- and me.. Get well soon! Marcie................... Your on your way--- :-)  2014 - 3 strangulations of colon, Ulcerative colitis, removal of colon, illiostomcy named woooh Nellie.. Tricky finger there "Z" ??????? Isn't Fleicity a trooper!! and in her get out??? Looks kinda sad, but yet, ready after these many weeks of Dr. appointments and readiness. And she is squeaky clean with her pre-operative soap.. How I hated that when they did me. Got it 3 times, as they didn't address it on my chart.. I was in so much pain, I couldn't move, and my tummy was so puffed up like I was 18 months preg.. Wish I had her position to do it yourself. more control--but that saved her a few days in the hospital.. and that is a good thing.. The count down is on for her home coming!!!!!!   YA!!!!!!!!!! 2014 - 3 strangulations of colon, Ulcerative colitis, removal of colon, illiostomcy named woooh Nellie.. Good news! Don't forget to gift the nurses. Bribery works wonders to ease your stay under their control. My wife used to bring boxed donuts and cookies. When I asked that they allow me to sleep from 12 to 5, i got some cooperation. It also helps to smooth the ruffled egos, when I got nasty. Nothing says " I am sorry" like a Linzer Tort. Or "thank you". Once the effects of the anesthesia wear off and your intestinal tract works , they will let you go home. Something to look forward to. They finished me up at about 6 yesterday eve. I've got an epidural in giving me light pain control, dilaudid prn. Feel like somebody has stirred up my insides... Waiting on breakfast rice crispies, milk, toast, bacon, hot tea and jello. We'll see how much I manage. Crohn's Colitis, Ilieostomy, Proctocolectomy November 2017 Glad that's over with, Felicity! Nice to see that you're being given solid food this quickly! Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. Wednesday will be a better day and so on......  KEEP THAT SMILE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
