Sorry Chris and Bagpus have been out of action course of chemo/radio treatment. too cream-crackered to post or read posts etc  A UV-c lamp will sanitize anything that is exposed to the light for to be safe at least 15 mins you will find these as pond UV sterilizers as one example be careful not to get more than a few seconds exposure personally to the UV-C can produces skin and eye damage if to high or long exposure. similar to arc eye and skin burns from welding! Very large powerful UV-C lamp equipment are used to disinfect sanitize hospital operating theaters https://www.meditek.ca/uv-sterilization-robots-infection-prevention-technology-operating-rooms/  A good simple device to have at home if used carefully Chris and Bagpus Colostomy Jan 2020 @llholiday....thank you again! The joy of post concussion trauma...I forgot perms used to be a thing! It's been a good  35 yrs. Since I have had one and for good reason. My hair took a hike then too! Lol! Your is very lovely! Enjoy it, you deserve it! Crocheting a chain tie would be a good idea too, there would be with little risk slipping with it. I remember making the crochet chain for my kids mittens, it always worked well, and saved many a lost mitten over the years for many children. I hope your hubbies apt. Went well for him! It's always good to learn something new! Linda @chrisandbagpus....thank you so much! That was very enlightening! Lol! Such great information. Chris, I'm sorry you have not been very well. Cancer treatment certainly has its own bag of struggles! Make sure you continue to listen to your body and get the rest you need. Your welcome here anytime! I wish you all the best of health! Stay strong and tough! Linda Sorry you are going through a rough time with the chemo, Chris. I hope it is very successful for you, and that your body learns how to handle the extra stress from the treatment. Take care and stay safe. I know that people receiving cancer treatments are more susceptible to Covid19, so take all the precautions you can. We are rooting for you. -Liza What a nifty and cool way to sanitize! Thank you for posting that! Treatment isnât easy - keep heart. While in my own chemo and radiation it helped that a nurse said the the side effects were a sign that the the treatment was working in my body. I pictured that in my mind. And here is another thing that helped me and could help you - having something with you that  gives you good vibes and spirit and that you can draw energy from. A group from a church, women I donât even know, crocheted what they called a prayer shawl (in shades of purple, very soft and pretty) for me. I kept it in a tote bag on the floor next to the chair while I was hooked up and rested my hand on it from time to time - it comforted me that people would do this for a stranger. More than a year out of treatment now, I have it draped over a chair in the room where I sew and I still just touch it from time to time, and it continues to comfort me. I send my heartfelt good thoughts and prayers to you - they are with you as you continue your treatments.    Colostomy 4/30/18. That is such a nice story and a thoughtful thing those ladies did for you. It makes me want to do something like that. I tried to teach myself to knit and crochet by watching YouTube videos a couple years ago. I made my niece and nephews scarves for Christmas that year. Iâm not very good and definitely a beginner. Do you think a prayer potholder would have the same effect?  😂 -Liza
