LK and John, you have on many ocassions now insisted what people have noticed and obseverated was completely made up in their heads. you insisted Rick not listen to the truth and facts of the matter. these people deserve apologies for your arrogances and rudeness. the rest of you who gave thumbs up should be ashamed as well, hiding the truth with nonsense is disgraceful. your actions help in NO way. and damage credibility of the website. not deleting LK vile ranting attack on me lacks professionalism , also brings questionable credibility here. my information was correct, LK and John were wrong, plain and simple. this site is called veganostomy, so I consider Eric as Mr Vegan Ostomy, I use vegan as short. I have no time for people who spend all their time insisting everything is offensive. Hi All, I’m just catching up on all the activity that occurred while I was away for a long weekend at the beach. In reading the replies to Rick, I don’t think either John or Linda told Rick he wasn’t smelling anything. John just suggested that Rick my be more sensitive to the bag, as many of us were as new ostomates. And Linda describes going thru the same situation, what she did and the procedures she takes now to try to avoid any odors. Rick, I’ve gone thru the same thing, and usually no one else is smelling anything. I do agree with John that we are more sensitive to our own smell, as we don’t want to share our aroma with others. People have already given you some good tips to reduce odor, but I just wanted to let you know I’ve been there. ? And you are probably the only one who notices whatever the smell is. Hang in there. -Liza Guys and gals. It truly is disappointing to read members publically calling out other members on a forum that was meant to share our experiences with one another. I invite you all to read the Forum Code of Conduct and Rules once again, as a refresher on how we should be treating each other here. In the past, I have been rather loose with how I moderate the forums and have let controversial comments slide with the hope that they will foster some friendly conversation. What I'm seeing the past few days goes beyond the norm and I'm not very happy about it. If you feel that a comment goes against the forum rules, please press the REPORT button at the bottom of that post, and I will have a look. Don't report posts that you simply disagree with. And if you feel the need to personally call out or make rude remarks towards another member, I strongly advise that you don't. Many of the members here have been part of this forum for years, and it would truly be a loss if I was forced to ban or delete accounts since I do believe that 99.9% of the comments here add value to the community. Please, follow the rules. Treat each other with respect. And log off if you feel that you need some space to bite your tongue. I wish you all good week. Feel free to PM me if you have any additional comments or concerns. Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate.
