Can you share what this product is, @bigmike322? Is it a barrier ring or something else?

@veganostomy It's a ring that goes over your wafer to provide extra security and prevent leaks.

Dear Valued Customers.

My name is Richard O'Hamill. I am the C.E.O. of Stealth Belt Inc. and the designer of the Stealth Belt.

I am writing to tell you about another product that I think is truly beneficial for everyone with an ostomy.

One of my Stealth Belt customers has invented a patented, low-profile device called “The OstoRing®️" that in my personal experience not only prevented leakage, flange failure, and skin irritation but dramatically extended the wear life of the ostomy flange and pouch.

Early on I was fortunate to be able to personally test this new invention while doing my physically challenging training to becoming a WingTsun KungFu™ Instructor, A very physical and combative martial arts system popularized by Bruce Lee

The OstoRing®️, certainly increased my confidence and allowed me to fully focus on the task at hand. My testing included direct abdominal kicks, grappling, and strikes. At the time of testing none of my instructors knew I had an Ostomy.

In both athletics and my normal day-to-day life, the OstoRing®️ gives me confidence and security that my Hollister system will not leak or fail--even under extreme circumstances.

The OstoRing®️ is now undergoing a formal, academic study. If you're interested in learning more and participating at no cost in the trial, I encourage you to call the number below--or email them--for more details.

CEO, Richard O'Hamill, Stealth Belt, Inc.

Interesting! Now that I search for it, I'm seeing clinical trials come up, like this one.

I haven't been able to find a photo of the device, but good luck with the study!!

If it works anything like the Nu-Comfort belt, then you should have good results. I use the Nu-Comfort belt these days when I get some edge peeling on my wafer and want to give it extra support. Works like a charm, but isn't meant to be used with other accessories, like the StealthBelt.

The fact that Richard says that the OstoRing has been working for him, assuming with the Stealthbelt on, this sounds like a very exciting product.

@veganostomy You can use the stealthbelt, but you have to use a hollister 2 piece system.

So far the device is working great.  I changed my appliance after 7 days with no sign of pending leaks.  I went swimming for a couple hours a day 5 of those 7 days.  Plus it's been over 100 degrees so I'm very happy with my current results.
