Hey guys,

I was interviewed as one of the speakers for the Crohn's and Colitis summit brought by One Great Gut, to talk about my experience with Crohn's Disease and what life has been with an ostomy.

Feel free to watch it here for the next few days (after that, you'll have to pay):

Note: While I agreed to be part of that summit, I do not endorse some of the teachings or advice of the other speakers, especially when it comes to alternative treatments to IBD.

Folks put aside a bit of time this is well worth a view, it was very interesting watching the guy doing the interview, he is at a crossroads where I feel he knows what is on the cards and making the final step is a gap to far. I can remember being their well before the Ostomy. I will not say any more as it will spoilt the content but really enjoyed that Eric

Hey Eric just watched your interview very interesting . While watching I heard you talk about things that I can relate to . Even though I have watched many of your videos . One thing in particular that you mentioned was being able to talk to people in the same situation . Before I had my surgery and even after I did not know anybody with an ostomy . I have my friends and family and they try but I don't think they can really relate if you know what I mean (except for my wife) . Then I checked out your site and found friends I can talk to with the same or close to the same issues . And learn tricks and tips . It really has made a difference for me . Thanks for what you do and all your help ! If any of you have the time to watch Eric's interview its worth watching .

P.S.

Sorry if we get a little carried away in the Lounge .... Haha

I 2nd that! In all my time with the ostomy knew one fella at the start who wouldn,t except it and took years to do so and one other girl whos husband I worked with, she fought for years against UC and now is doing really well. IBD is such a hidden illness with a taboo label!! but I feel those barriers are coming down as they are with a lot of things in the World. Put one log on the fire and it don,t burn very well, put a few more on and its bright and warm. (sit to close and yer pouch will melt) but it takes guys like Eric and all the other Advocates to strike the match.

Hi Eric, I did watch it.. Your so comfortable with yourself, and being on camera. You mean business with your experance and helping others -- mostly letting people know that we exist.. Doing a great job Eric!! And we are NOT disabled..  I feel people treat me this way-- Its been 3 years now for me, and they say "you can drive a car?" Go to lunch? "you can sit without a pillow? you need help?" I never had a pillow except for my back after many months laying on the hospital beds. What gives with these people?? One lady said that I should wear a diaper if I ride in her car!!!!!!!  I was insulted!!!!!!! Told her that she needs to come to my house and get educated!!!!!!!! And that was a stupid thing to say--I was in tears..... Going to pick me up and we go to lunch and I get this??? Needless to say I did not go........
