It is my pleasure to be co-hosting another Twitter chat this Thursday, November 21, 2019, at 8 PM EST and you are invited!

Please join me in my third Twitter Chat with the IBD Social Circle as I discuss food and disordered eating with GI psychologist Dr. Megan Riehl of Michigan Medicine at the UofM.

This topic is just in time for the US Thanksgiving and upcoming winter holidays, so if food has been a source of stress for you around these times, you'll benefit from the chat!

We will be giving and answering questions, and if you have a Twitter account, you'll be able to join in the chat by following @VeganOstomy and @DrRiehl and the #IBDSC hashtag

More information and updates about the chat can be found on the official IBD Social Circle Facebook page HERE!

Disclosure: Janssen paid for my time to advise on this tweet chat. All thoughts and opinions expressed during the chat are my own.

Wish I could be part of that, but this is the only social media I am a part of - I am not on Facebook or Twitter. (Call me old fashioned!)

I can understand and appreciate that, Stella. I don't personally use social media myself, but I do feel obligated to have them for VeganOstomy.

More chats and online events will happen - I will share my feedback about making it more accessible to others.

That’s great to hear, I am not a social media fan and again this site is the only online group I belong to.

I also am not on any social media ( no twitter, no Facebook). VO  is the only thing I participate in.

Looks like it was interesting though, and I hope you reached lots of people.

The chat is tonight, so you can still join! :)

@john68 and @dona That means a lot to me personally. Believe me, accessibility is something I would love to improve upon when it comes to these online events. Some websites, like Youtube, allow people to view live content without needing an account, but Facebook, Twitter, and others aren't as openly available.

This is something I will keep in mind for any events that I'm personally responsible for arranging.

That would make the chat at 11:30 a.m. for you. Hopefully you will be able to catch it.

Hi Eric,

I think my teenage niece may have set me up a Twitter account several years ago but I have  never used it and don’t even know if I could figure out how to log in. But if I can figure it out and have some free time, I will be there to lend support. 😀

This sure is now my go-to social media. I am only on Facebook, but since joining this group, my Facebook time has taken a big hit. And I don’t miss it at all.  😀

I might dust off my twitter account for this one. Nobody hold your breath, though. I've been up since 4 a.m. and working since 5, so I'll probably be too pooped to tweet by 8. Them's the berries, or maybe not. ;-)

This was the first twitter chat I ever participated in, and it was a pleasure to be there and share with some fine folks. Thanks Eric.

Hey Eric, sorry I missed this but I'm not even  on Facebook.   Will you by any chance be posting a read or video on it?  I would certainly be interested in hearing about it.

Tony, how nice that you do dusting! What was this like to be a part of? I sure appreciate it when you all share your computer knowledge and teach me a thing  or two. Thankyou all.

Linda

I do believe that the IBD Social Circle may be putting together a summary or snippets of useful parts of that chat. I will post it here if/when they do!

Hi Linda,

It was my first Twitter chat, and I go on Twitter about as often as I drive a car, so it was a little overwhelming to try and keep up, but I'm sure I can do better with practice. I still found the experience quite positive and enjoyable. I might start doing it more often though, going on Twitter, not driving a car. That could be dangerous, driving a car, not going on Twitter. Haha!

Tony,

Yeah, probably not a great idea for you to be driving a car.  It definitely gives me an idea of how often you go on Twitter. 😀

I'm waiting for the self-driving car to be perfected. Guess in that case I still won't be driving.

Actually I'm signed into twitter right now, though I'm working and not checking it or tweeting or otherwise using it. Might get a notification if someone follows me, though.
