Hey guys, I've added a new login form at the top of the page as well as a new member notification to register. Currently, when you are logged in, you'll see a "You are currently logged in as (username). Log out." line of text. Is this line of text helpful or does it just clutter the screen? Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. Looks good..  and working as you would want. Nice that when I come to the forums it logs me in automatically. keep up the great work, Eric!! T11/12 Paraplegic / Colostomate Hey Eric. You've done a nice job with the site. Personally, I find the line neither helpful nor as clutter. It is small enough that it is off my radar most the time. It does seem redundant to have both that line with a logout option, and to have a logout button in the menu bar just below it. Either one or the other should be all that's necessary. I suppose I am more accustomed to buttons or menu items. It is the new user/login form that is more disconcerting. I like having the login button however, I only see that button when I am on the Forums page. It seems a bit unnecessary there, especially when I come to the site and go to the Forum page, I get a message asking me to log in or register. It is redundant to have the new user/login form and also have a login button on the toolbar below the message. In my mind a login button should be located on the top menu bar where all the links are so you can sign in right from the home page. Of course this may not be how your site works, and if so just disregard. The button is not really needed at all since every time I visit the forums I get the new user/login form. That's my two bits for whatever it's worth! I think this is the same problem with desktop vs mobile. But also, the login button will send you to another page where the form can be filled then and there. In my mind a login button should be located on the top menu bar where all the links are so you can sign in right from the home page. Are you referring to the websites navigation menu, where it shows product reviews, ostomy, IBD, etc? I actually Can add a button there but I have two thoughts on this: I can actually add the login button anywhere (or remove it and leave the form). Because both mobile and desktop users see things slightly different, I need to find a happy medium between usefulness, convenience, and unubtrusiveness. I'll continue to test things on my end and gather more feedback. After seeing how many others forums do it, there seems to be no best practice for the login forms, registration notification,  or buttons. Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. Eric, Is there any way to remove a post that I have already made? I put one in the wrong thread, and I also posted one  in the correct thread ( error on my part). I am NOT real techno savvy, but I can't find an edit button once I have posted. Thanks. Onset of severe Ulcerative Colitus Oct.2012. P.S> I think I put this in the wrong place too!  I think what is happening is I write a post before I have logged in. Then when I try to post I am prompted to log in.  I do, but then I am in the wrong place (forum). Could this be? I will try to be more careful. Onset of severe Ulcerative Colitus Oct.2012. If you can't see the edit button under the text of that post, just private message me with the link to that exact post you want removed and I'll delete it. The post will have a chain icon, which is the web address pointing to your exact post. Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate.  P.S> I think I put this in the wrong place too!  I think what is happening is I write a post before I have logged in. If this continues to happen, can you post more details in the bug report forum? Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. Hi Dona, I've deleted that post and cleaned things up 😊 In the future, I'll be able to move posts into another or move posts into a new topic, but that's not something I can do now. You do have a certain period of time to edit and delete past comments, but I believe it's currently set to one hour. Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. Thanks...I will try to clean up after myself sooner! HA. Onset of severe Ulcerative Colitus Oct.2012.
