Hi Lynne,  Well, the tomatoes went through with no problem, which makes me really happy as they are one of my favourite foods.  I used to grow my own too, just nothing like home grown tomatoes!

I am an unapologetic cheapskate and the glucosamine I buy is either whatever is on sale, or the no-name brand, and I have not found any difference.

I love herbs and spices too and always buy nutmeg whole and grate it.  Such a big difference.

I got your private message and did respond to it.  I have asked Eric about it as I got an email telling me I have a private message and not to reply directly to the email but to click on the link below, except there is no link below!  I'm so confused!  It doesn't take much to confuse me when it comes to electronics!  I will read the post you suggested.

Take care,

Terry

@varg55...Hi Terry...you remind me of myself when I 1st started here, actually on electronics period!! I was terrified using the system but that has changed dramatically.  Its actually very easy to get everywhere here on Eric's site.

When you get a message saying you have a message or PM click or tap it and it should bring you right here to VO. Than, sign in & up at the top where the little dots spin,  you'll see a notice saying you have messages. I get here on my phone, only the computer if I have a bunch of email to answer to. I'm still very much old school & prefer hand written letters though. I'm always reminding myself to scroll. This year I give my learned appreciation of electronics to COVID19. Yes, unfortunately.  This year, I shopped locally on line, mostly for pickup but what a hoot its been learning to do that too. You can also click on someone's name in a forum & it'll take you to their registration page & if they wrote their story, you can read it there.

Yup, home grown tomatoes are so good!!  We grew ours in big pots this year for the 1st time. I'm glad to hear you had no issues with them. Thats great!  I owe my appreciation of them to my Dad.... I sure miss him. This spring my Grands planted tomatoe seeds instead of beans & labeled them beans! Imagine that. We had an abundance of them & shared plenty around the neighborhood & even to a few strangers! lol...That was kind of fun just approaching them & giving them tomatoes!!  Small town trust went the mile I think. A later report on a chance meeting  said they were the best they had tasted & would be planting their own next year... well...this year now I guess.

For some reason,  my wacky system seems to get picky about certain Ingriediants in vitamins & some meds so I'm careful about brands. So far Jamieson seems to be the most agreeable one for this disaster zone of a body!! lol!

Don't be shy here. It helps newbies to know they are not alone. So don't be afraid to add your tips if you think it will help them along too.

I have not recd a notice about a PM from you. Are you sure you hit  send or post? Thats one of my usual mistakes!! lol!

Hi Linda,  First of all, sorry for calling you Lynne in the last note!  I had just read a post from a Lynne, brain not working!

So, I sent you a private message as a test to see if it goes through.  I clicked on your icon or name or whatever they call it and went into your profile and clicked on "send a message".  I'm sure this is what I did the first time.  When I got the message that it hadn't gone through I tried to "copy and paste" it as Eric suggested, and again tried to send it to you.  I don't even remember what I said in that message now it was quite a few days ago!

Cheers,

Terry

I don't mean to derail this topic, but to clarify, when you receive an email saying that you have a new private message, you have to click on the link in that email to reply.

If you reply directly to the email, it will be sent to my email and not the person you intended to reply to.

I've made it a little less confusing so now the actual message won't be shown in the email notification, but as far as replying goes, it has to be done through the private messages section of the forum. It sounds like you found the right place to message Linda :)

@veganostomyHi Eric,  This is what is confusing me.  I got an email today, saying I had a new private message and not to respond directly, but to click on the link below.  There is nothing below to click on, no link, no nothing.  I don't know what to do.  Maybe it has something to do with my email, but I just can't figure out where to go from here.  Sorry for being a pain.

No need to appologize! There could very well be a problem that I'm not aware of.

The email you get when someone sends you a private message should have a "Conversation Link >>" that you can click on.

I'll test it on my end again to confirm it's still there.

My apologies @varg55. The setting I thought would help to make the Private Message notification email work better actually doesn't work as expected so I've reverted back to the old system.

Sorry for the confusion.
