Hey Everybody . I have another question for ya . Does anybody ever think they smell an odor but there is no leak or any problem  . I even ask my wife she says she does not smell anything no visible leaks and my dog doesn't act like he smells anything (I've heard  dogs can tell) .  Is it just a psychological thing ? Does this happen to anybody else ? Proctectomy , Ileostomy , Ulcerative Colitis I have, and 99% of the time it's nothing. But... I have had filters leak and have had leaks under the wafer (which you couldn't notice until the wafer was off) and both have caused odors. Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. Yep Robert, I have seen me heading to the loo looking all round and nothing, getting my wife to have a sniff like you do. That's sounds awful I know but its married life dear. the only thing I can think of is we have the odour in our nose from last being to empty it. and when you think of how much more sensitive a dogs nose is than ours. ileostomy 31st August 1994 for Crohns John you could be right ! Could just be leftover smell ! I know of someone who's aunt had it when he was growing up and he says she always said too that she could smell something but he never could . And your are right too guess its married life ! Haha Proctectomy , Ileostomy , Ulcerative Colitis Hey Bag Master . I look all around pretty good and even had my wife look and smell she says no nothing . I don't use a bag with a filter but my normal change schedule is tomorrow morning so I will check my barrier then . But I am glad to hear it's not just me . I appreciate the responses . Proctectomy , Ileostomy , Ulcerative Colitis Hahaha . Ill remember that . Proctectomy , Ileostomy , Ulcerative Colitis Woke to "the smell" which I've not had happen before. I assume it's the vent gone bad, but the past days have been worth a not really bad funky smell. I've not had to burp the bag nor install an Ostovent to use, got to sleep the whole night through!!! I'll hit it with some body spray just for my sake or maybe febreeze. Crohn's Colitis, Ilieostomy, Proctocolectomy November 2017
