Hi All, This morning my wife said those words every man dreads to hear "You need to go clothes shopping" I have a couple of spots I do the dreaded deed but todays work took me through a town I don,t normally visit. I spotted a menswear store I liked the look of and pulled in. Now as the fellas here will know hard to get the right fit in trousers. what I tend to do is going a size up and then get a dress maker to nip and tuck! When buying I always say about my ostomy and it gives them a better understanding of my needs! It turned out when I said about my ostomy the guy said crohns or colitis? I was surprised by this and he said I know all to well! He went on to tell me his father has an ostomy and 2 of his uncles! A mix of crohns and bowel cancer. Goes to show their are more of us out their than ye would think. ileostomy 31st August 1994 for Crohns There are way more of us than people know! You tend to hear a lot about a friend of a friend or a parent or someone who's living with an ostomy. It's pretty cool when you run into people who can relate! Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. Exactly. That's why this blog is cool! Severe rheumatoid arthritis, spondoloarthropy, polymyalgia rhumatica, type 1 diabetic, IBS and finally, emergency diverticulitis surgery, colon removed Stella born Jan. 27, 2017. 6 bouts of c-diff, failed fecal transplant. Complete colonectomy and ileostomy July 30, 2018. ENOUGH!!
