Hernia check went well. The hernia they say is still the same size. The pain he is a watch and wait situation. Not too sure about the pain I had. Says maybe adhesions but I swear I think the mesh broke loose. He says you can’t really see the mesh in the CT because it’s so thin. So like before it’s a watch and wait situation. They won’t operate or explore unless there is a bowel obstruction or the like. I asked him if he could just take the mesh out and he said if I did that, I would have to have every doctor on the team and every doctor that trained me in the room because your repair was so complex. He said I could never go away from that hospital for anything with this repair. No one will know what to do. He said if they took it out I would have a massive hernia. I said well can’t you just put another piece in? Him and the intern got a good belly laugh from my response. Because I was I guess treating it like changing shoes. It’s an open operation and a huge operation he says. So I’m stuck with the mesh that’s there for now anyways but my intuition and what I felt really feels like it let loose in there.
as much a pain as I was in something had to happen in there. I do notice my hernia sticking out more and I just have that heaviness feeling back in that area when moving about again.
for me…. I need to slow down and stop jumping when people want me to do something . Start taking my time and watching what I’m doing lifting and such. Time to think about me for a change. Other people don’t jump to it like I do anyhow do I figure I can too be like everyone else.
