Been two months since ileostomy. Changing appliance this morning I noticed some small darker areas on the stoma. Very small. Not concentrated in one area. Maybe 3 of them. Still a reddish colour but darker than the rest of it. Is that anything to worry about? Browsed pictures of bad stomas. It is nothing that terrible. Not black, just a bit darker. Why? I've had something that sounds similar a couple times in the past (I'm 1.5 years out). It didn't last long and I think it might have just been like a burst blood vessel, kind of like you might get on your face at times, broken capillary. Mine went away within a week or so each time. Just to update. At the next change the dark areas were gone. Everything was fine. Why?
