Hi All,

Halloween it coming up and every country has their own way of celebrating and a dish served that night. Here in some parts of N Ireland their is a dish called Purdy pudding. its an old recipe and a dish that's started to die out. Mainly cause the proper way to do it takes days and cooking and cooling spuds. Plus it can be an acquired taste. any one who would like to have ago this modern recipe is as close as I can remember it being done. just remember its a heavy feed as they say round here so don't eat to much.

That sounds like a very interesting recipe - I've never heard of such a dessert, but it sounds tasty!

I did notice this:

Cook for eight hours at 150 degrees stirring every hour.

That's a big commitment! Wow :o

Sure would help to burn off a few calories before eating, Back in the day would have been made by the grandma of the house over a hearth fire of turf
