Finding the right ostomy products is crucial to being a successful ostomate. The best way to find the right product is to sample them, and while I’ve done my best to offer unbiased PRODUCT REVIEWS, there really is no substitution for try products out yourself.
Below, you’ll find a list of ostomy supply manufacturers from around the world. These companies offer everything from ostomy bags and wafers to adhesive removers and barrier rings.
I’ve indicated which companies explicitly offer free samples on their website, but you may need to contact their customer service directly to find out if they offer samples not listed on their website.
Some companies only offer products within their home country, while others ship internationally (usually through distributors or medical supply stores); it’s best to check with them to see where their products are available.

I just had a clostomy bag because of a hole in my colon. They may be able to reverse it after 6-12 months however, I have no health insurance, and I’m not able to afford clostomy bags the people at the hospital had Hollister send me a sample as that’s what they put me in but they only sent 3 bags with cut to fit rings. Plz how do I get help from these companies and free samples seeing I have no insurance and not able to afford these supplies
Hi Jammie, I can certainly relate to your problem because I no longer have insurance coverage for my supplies. Depending on where you live (what country/state/province) there may be assistance to cover those supplies. I also suggest contacting your local ostomy association to see what resources they can provide for low-cost/free supplies. Good luck!
You can get free ostomy supplies through Coloplast patient assistance program… Hollister also offer the patient assistance program as well…
My friend just had surgery today . How can I help her get free bags .
Hey Peacedancer.
Most of the time, the ostomy nurse can arrange to get samples for the patient (each person’s needs will be different), but she can also contact various manufacturers to help determine which samples might be appropriate to try.
Unless you are also her caregiver, I don’t think that companies will send samples to your friend through you, but you’re sweet for trying.

Hi Heather, I can certainly add both companies to the list, but they need to have a page on their website that is easy for patients to request samples from and I don’t see anything like that at the present moment.
