May 19th, 2018 – Why is World IBD Day, or IBD advocacy in general, important? It really isn’t… until it is.
October 24th isn’t a day I tend to celebrate as it marks the day I received my diagnosis for Crohn’s Disease back in 2008.

August 21, 2017 – It’s hard to believe that it’s been four years since I had my ostomy surgery!
May 19th, 2017 – It’s World IBD Day again, and I’ve taken a lot of time to reflect on what it means to me.
When people find out that I have an ostomy, a common question they as is “Why not get a J-Pouch?”.
Transitioning to a plant-based diet, especially when you have IBD, will require some planning.
It’s hard to believe, but three years ago today (on August 21, 2013) I had my ostomy surgery done.
Sunday, June 5th, 2016. Another Gutsy Walk for Crohn’s and Colitis has passed. I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to go again this year!
The Gutsy Walk for Crohn’s and Colitis Canada is one of the main funding sources allocated to IBD research by the organization. Last year, over $3,000,000 was raised, and we hope to do even better this year!
