August 7th, 2013 is when I started this blog, and I have no plans to slow down anytime soon!
It’s been over two years since my last major website update, and while I’ve made numerous small changes to improve the site, it really needed to be overhauled.
I’ll be honest, I have no idea where the last year went, but it’s been two years since my ileostomy surgery on August 21st, 2013. Two years since I willingly gave up my diseased colon, and traded it for an ostomy bag – it was the best decision at the time, and I have zero regrets to this day.
The finalists for the 4th Annual WEGO Health Activist Awards have been chosen, and I’ve made it through as one of the “Best Kept Secrets“!
August 21, 2014: It’s hard to believe that a year ago today I was at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto having my colon removed and getting it replaced with an ileostomy.
