Serious question. Is this something indicative of what IBD sufferers experience? In my case, yes. I had severe perianal disease that came with abscesses and fistulas. Sitting was a literal pain in the ass. Hey, thanks for the response. I think I should have clarified a little more though, I meant pain in the abdominal area lol. A pain in the ass, just figuratively, not literally C(=  It's embarrassing having to tell others you can't sit down for fear of experiencing a debilitating pain, and having them shoot you a puzzled/quizzical expression. Although, this extreme pain doesn't always happen when I have occasionally forgot I can't sit down and have sat back up rather quickly, but it's still something I'd rather not chance. That stabbing moment of extreme pain in September is still very fresh in my mind, and not something I'm going to forget anytime soon.  I meant pain in the abdominal area Yeah, that too! LOL It got so bad that the only relief I could find was laying flat on my stomach, and that was temporary. Although, this extreme pain doesn't always happen when I have occasionally forgot I can't sit down and have sat back up rather quickly, For me, the pain often came in waves, which I assume was with the peristaltic movement of my gut. It was pretty wild. I could be fine for a few minutes then in complete agony for several minutes more. Yeah, it's not a pain you easily forget. Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate.
