OstomyLife Roundtable Discussion – Oct, 2015 (w/ video)

Ostomylife roundtable oct 2015

I am so honored to be joining a guest panel in a roundtable discussion being hosted by Laura Cox of Shield Healthcare!

Laura has been a hero of mine since around the time of my surgery, and I found the videos on her YouTube channel to be informative and comforting as a new ostomate.

The webinar was a blast! You can find the recorded session below:

Join us on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 for a FREE interactive webinar, hosted by Laura Cox, Shield HealthCare’s Ostomy Lifestyle Specialist.

During this roundtable discussion, Laura and three other leaders in the ostomy community will be spreading positive ostomy awareness and support to those who are new to having an ostomy, as well as providing insight for health care professionals.

The webinar will consist of a 45-minute discussion session, where webinar attendees will be welcome to ask topic-related questions live.

The participants include:

Laura Cox: As an ostomate since 2011, Laura is excited to share insight and advice from her personal perspective on the most frequently asked questions about living with an ostomy. Read more about Laura’s story here.

Eric Polsinelli, of Vegan Ostomy: Eric started the VeganOstomy.ca website in 2013 in order to help ostomates by sharing product reviews, tips, and his experience as an ostomate and has a growing YouTube Channel. His goal is to continue to offer positive support.

Brian Greenberg, of The Intense Intestines Foundation: Brian founded the Intense Intestines Foundation to advocate for positive awareness and support, connect and educate those with IBD. IIF’s mission is to create programs to help patients with Crohn’s, colitis and ostomies. The Foundation started a #beyondthebathroom campaign to address the extra-intestinal symptoms of Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Brian just finished participating in 70.3 for IBD (a 70.3 mile triathlon).

Bret Cromer, of the United Ostomy Association of America and Youth Rally: Bret is a facilitator of a very successful UOAA Ostomy Support Group and is involved with Youth Rally, a camp for teenagers with bowel and bladder dysfunction.

There will be two presentations: one for healthcare professionals, and another for patients. If you’re a soon-to-be, new or veteran ostomate, please feel free to attend the webinar at 3pm EST!
