Way to go, Liza! Colostomy 4/30/18. Thanks you guys!! Your support means so much to me. John, I’m not sure what happened with my bag. All I ate that morning was half a banana and I took my vitamins with a glass of water. And I emptied before I left our friends house. At least there was no accident. Though if you are gonna have a problem, being at an event with ostomy supply companies with samples is probably a good place to be. ? -Liza Liza, You're such an example for new ostomates who might be afraid to live their lives. It was hearing stories like this that made me realize I wouldn't be some kind of shut-in or freak. If one person takes the time to write something like this, you can bet many more feel the same way who don't do so. It's the heart and soul of this community. Tony Thanks Tony, That was such a kind thing for you to say. I’ve never felt like I was any kind of a good example where my ostomy is concerned. I’ve had so many problems and I feel like I complain way too much. ? But I have definitely decided that my ostomy saving my life should not be in vain and I am going to live my life to the fullest!! -Liza Thats awesome Liza! I am so happy for you! If your going to have an attitude about your ostomy, you certainly have have the right one. I now know that I too decided right way pretty much that I was going to survive this whole thing in any way shape or form possible, simply because there is always someone out there worse off then I am! Knowing what I know today, it really is a really blessing all around. You challenging this walk and making it part thru one and then all thru the next, is a really great example. Tony is right, your an inspiration too. I mean, how many people drive five hours to do a Gutsy Walk!!! Lol! Linda Thanks Linda. You are all so kind to be so encouraging!! I still am surprised anyone would see me as an inspiration, when I feel like I get so much strength and inspiration from so many of you. -Liza
I love the smell of coffee in the morning. It smells like .... victory.
