Although I am from the other side of the pond and still under 50 I grew up with country music and enjoy that a lot (blame my parents :) ). I also really like the early work of Kris Kristofferson ("To beat the devil" with that ultra low voice). Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson. Emmylou Harris (Seen her live once; great voice). All great music. On the other side also Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, Jimmy Hendrix, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac... Really love guitar music... American country music i do like, not my first choice but can enjoy. but over here the kids are into the local stuff, the sort of music when their age you would not even dared to say you liked. ileostomy 31st August 1994 for Crohns Yes, I love music. From pygmies singing in the rain forest to a musician recording in a closet. I don't like current country, pre-90's please. Metal is ok but usually does little for me. Punk can be fun. I cut my teeth on the music mom and dad played, so 50's and 60's with a little 70's rock in there. I do love good bluegrass and folk music, live being the best. Currently I have the new Enigma cd, a cd from a rave, a cd by NIN and a cd by Amanda Palmer in my truck cd player. I listen to a current radio station and an oldies station that makes me feel old, they changed their date range from 50's-60's-70's to 60's-70's-80's...
