Hi Barbara, You have been on a rough journey, it seems that this is a case of sorting out the last of the old issues and problems. Certainly you are in a lot of thoughts and prayers.

Wondering how you are doing, Barbara. 

Well both surgeries are over. the abscess had  been drained and.is showing good signs of healing. On Thursday the retina surgeon.operated on my.left eye to remove material left in it.from a ruptured blood vessel. He removed all the fluid in my eye and with a laser he made repairs to my retina and did some things to it to prevent damages from my diabetes in the future. It looks like things worked out. Time will tell.

Thanks for the update, Barbara!! I hope that your recovery goes smoothly and that things can at least return to a better state than before. 

Woo hoo, yippee, hurray, hallelujah and any other expressions of happiness and joy you can think of ... something akin to last night's celebrations (and happy new year's to all before I forget) finally the long road is coming to an end.  I get to go home on Thursday the 3rd!!! I have been here in rehab since July 13th. After three surgeries and a stubborn wound that wouldn't heal I am finally free.  Me and my new ileostomy are out of here.  Thank you for all the prayers and encouraging notes,  from my heart,  they have been felt and appreciated!!

Dear, dear, dear... one tough cookie Barbara...you are amazing and so are our bodies. I was thinking last night about our teeth. How they come in after we are born and then we loose them and then new ones come in and are amazing all over again. How do we do that? You asked for prayers, tho I can not read much at all the past for months, I was able to read that you asked for prayers. My son had a peek at your request and confirmed my blurry suspicion. He also mentioned why for me, and I appreciated that a lot. However he was on the run and could not read everyones entries and the rest of the topic for me. A little divine intervention never hurt.  So as I blurry read today there were prayers said and I know I have and you are more then welcome.  You are not only strong, but also brave. It takes brave to go thru any surgery, but Barbara...enough is enough. This has to be your year of healthy, stronger, and improvements.  (I am guessing at spell check, three choices...yikes.) I wish you nothing but the best as you continue your journey and my how I would have loved to have had this support way back when I missed a year of holidays. We are a lucky group to have found Erics site. TYAEric!  Now lady, enough, your home and I can only say, do not push yourself too hard. Take one day at a time and take a rest throughout the day, maybe two. Give your body the rest so it can heal. Have a friend make the tea, company can be good for the heart. If you need to talk, we are here...eventually for me...But you know what to do, your all good here. May this year be everything you are afraid to dream. This goes for everyone!
