@tony-h Glad to hear you’re out of hospital now, Tony. It’s so much better being in your own bed, in your own home. The shoulder pain is annoying; I guess it’s from the gas they use to distend the abdominal cavity. I find that it feels better if I stand up for a few minutes. Sometimes I rotate my arm around as well. Every day will get better for you now. Take good care.

Well the final update is im home in my own bed minus one gallbladder, have some abdominal pain and pain in the shoulder which is quite normal ,

@dlkfiretruck hey Linda I finally stopped ducking the surgeon and had it removed about 8 hours ago ,had it laparoscopically but still being kept in as a precaution, have nausea and some vomiting but hopefully the iv anti nausea meds will help, pain is minimal as is the nausea, only when I move 🤣 , so no moving or eating for me , im on iv fluids and iv paracetamol/Tylenol, should be discharged tomorrow if thennausea stops, hope all is good with you .

Tony in a room full of my peers (over 60's) 😂, im not getting old anymore I AM old .

Well TonyH .. .. .. I've been thinking of you this morning & realizing that with the time difference you may well be home already ! I hope things went much better for you then the ducker & dodger outcome you may have feared it would be.

One of my sisters had been an evil person after my surgeries. She thought it was fun to come & make me laugh! When she had an emergency laperoscopy surgery, not quite like a wide open surgery, I thought about a few things & I took the opportunity to show up first at her bedside! Well, watching her eyes widen as I walked thru the door brought me some joy! Lol! She said, " Ooohhh... I know what your here for!" and she begged me not to make her laugh over a waterfall of appologies! I honestly wouldn't ever try to make anyone laugh after a surgery of any kind. Never! Not me! So, TonyH...NO LAUGHING for a few days at least! You be careful to follow the surgeons advice & heal up good & strong. Remember, whether they opened you up or not, they still did the same things inside of you with the addition of blowing your tummy up with air to see clearly. I know passing residual air, well, that's not a fun feeling afterwards either.

I'll be praying for continued health & strength & easy adjustment to a life free from your nasty gallbladder & its symptoms and onto a life happily eating without it!

@tony-h oh gosh, then I was way behind. For some reason I thought it was this July. Glad you are getting it done then this week. Wishing for you a successful surgery and a speedy recovery.
