I agree that if they had to live in our shoes and especially when they do not get our supplies to us in time. I have ran to the hospital to get bags before. It’s a shame but I guess I have to be greatful to have insurance at all being that I’m in the United States. I should also be greatful that I was approved for the 30 bags a month because I would never make it in the 10 they wanted to give me. I was able to get 2 boxes of gloves and disposable chuck pads just recently. They also give me adhesive remover now which in the past they would not.
There would be no way in heck I would be able to go to work without pouch deodorant lol!!!

My insurance won’t cover pouch deodorant

It would be nice if these insurance people spent a day in the shoes of the individuals they are limiting supply access to. Perhaps then they'll realize that arbitrary limits don't benefit anyone.

When I had private insurance for my supplies, they covered gloves, gauze pads, deodorant, support belts, and anything else you needed for a positive experience. The only limit they put was a total amount for the year, which was something like $5000 after being with them for a few years. It was awesome!

@veganostomy yes exactly!! Just like anything else with these ostomys. Pouches, rings, etc.. we are all so different. Yea I’m glad it works for me to save some money. My insurance won’t cover pouch deodorant and it’s a must living in an apartment building and working a full time job. I wouldn’t want to stink anyone out! Lol!

@chelly I've heard a lot of positive feedback for Safe N' Simple deodorant, but it never worked well for me. Crazy, right? It goes to show you how different our experiences can be, even with the same product.

@veganostomy yes I usually use M9 or safe n simple but I must say that safe n simple seems to work so much better than M9 and cheaper. The brava lubricating actually did set my asthma off.

This is actually a legitimate concern for some people. It's one of the reasons why I prefer non-scented deodorants that neutralize odors in the bag, rather than mask them with fragrance. Some scented products I've used are just too strong to breath. LOL

I would try using Trio Pearls or ConvaTec Diamonds I use both with my two piece hollister pouch , I rarely notice any odour .

I find the bottle difficult to hold, manipulate and aim into the pouch area. The bottle is heavy. As a result the spray doesn't reach the insides of the pouch. It' a good deodorizer but not a good lubricator.

@fred oh ok. How are you liking it Fred? Does it seem to work for you? I’ve always wondered how people are liking it as well. I wonder if Amazon sells it and if they do maybe they have some reviews.
