The standard One Blade blade (for face) can be used, but I'd use caution around the stoma, because the part of the blade that oscillates could nick the stock.

The intimate blade usually has a guard on it, which is safer, but may not get close up to certain spots.

I still advocate for using tweezers to get the hair around the stoma :) But I'm a fan of the OneBlade system for pretty much everywhere else on the body.

If it was on Reddit, then it could very well have been you, as that's where the question came up!

For the cotton swab tip, make sure you use scissors like the one I show above as it won't nick you.

I have been considering a new electric razor (mine is getting dull on the sideburn trimmer, which cannot be replaced), and have been looking at wet/dry razors. There's a lot of really interesting stuff out there.

Good luck!

It is possible I was the OP of the Reddit post that inspired this (or not). Here is routine now: clean and dry the skin after removal then use Wahl clippers with the "detail" attachment clipped on. This makes a set of standard hair clippers work like a detail trimmer. I went this way because I already had the trimmer.

I still get hair I cannot trim in this way around the stoma. Got here researching how to remove it safely. I have already poked the stoma with the business end of scissors once (which was enough) despite using a toilet roll tube fit armour. I am going to try the cotton swab idea next

Thanks!
