I am using hollister products, but cant   see any use by date on the boxes.

What would be recommended for wafers, barrier rings and bags?

I buy direct from a large wholesaler  so hopefully they havent been sitting around for a while.

It would be great to know how long these things last on the shelf and where they are ( or if) they are dated.

I found some dates on my barrier rings.  The Brava  ( coloplast) rings have an hourglass thing with a date 2019-11-26 ..so that myst be a best/use by date. and they have a lot number ( useless to me). These are on the individual packages.

The Convatec rings ( cohesive ..eakins ) that I use  have both a lot number and maybe a use by date with an odd symbol on the box they come in, but not the individual packages.

I haven't checked my boxes of wafers and bags, but I will.

I do rotate my 'stock', using the oldest stuff first.

It would be really great to have some guidance here. and some consistency through product lines.

What is the shelf life? Do they really ever expire?

Maybe somebody  knows.

Hey Derek,

This article may be helpful :

If you still can't find a manufactory or expiry date on the package I'd be interested in seeing a photo because maybe something changed.

Eric. You are a genius. Haha

Yes its right there as shown in your review.i need to get new eye glasses!

The boxes i have show 9/22 so as they were bought a couple of months ago assume the wafers, bags and barrier rings have a life of appx 4 years.

Thanks again !

Most products have very long expiry dates so you should be fine in most cases unless you purchased them "used" (unwanted supplies).

I am using bags right now that are almost two years old. Before using I test the stickiness of the wafer by pressing a piece of plastic on it to make sure it has sticky stuff still. I have not had a problem so far. Just got 6 day out of one bag. I have had a  partial obstruction and am exhausted...again. However, I am pleased that I have had good wear time from the older bags.
