Hey VA, love the reviews since I ended up with a colostomy in march due to chrons. I know there are a lot of reviews out there but most seem to be from people older or a lot more docile then myself. After getting on my feet and working out again, been trying to do the things I love to do. They include racing motorcycles on circuits, soccer, surfing, and others. I have been using the stealth belt almost 24/7 so want something that will work with that. I have so far settled on two, the 2 peice sensura mio click and holister cera plus (with tape borders) 2 peice. I found while surfing last week the holister came off in the ocean after less than an hour in water after putting it on in the morning new (at least 4 hrs before I went to the beach). The coloplast seems the most secure and lasts several days in the ocean but obviously is more obtrusive. Looking if there are other options I missed. Maybe the holister without tape might be better? I haven't tried any holister products but this one. I also suppose I could get a 1 price coloplast mio but would have to buy all new belts. Let me know if you have any options. For the past few months I have been wearing 2-piece sensura mio for the most part. Also note I always use a ring which was bravo moldable until just recently the bravo protective ring when they started selling them in the USA. If any one has any ideasfor me to try before I order more belts I would love the advice. Im in a hot environment in Texas and very fit so do not need convex or anything but do sweat a lot. thanks, Jon edit: ps has there ever been a mass petition to get coloplast to make the 2 peice mio opaque bags without their filter? Several days of wear time from that Coloplast 2pc Mio is a GREAT start - most would be happy settling with that. Looking if there are other options I missed. Maybe the holister without tape might be better? I personally find the ones without the tape border to peel off even without much activity! They tend to be "regular wear", so I don't think they'll work better than the other Hollister one you've been trying. I haven't tried any holister products but this one. I also suppose I could get a 1 price coloplast mio but would have to buy all new belts. A one piece Mio sounds like it would offer you the best of both worlds - you get the low profile and long wear time. If you are really active, then investing in a second belt for that appliance would probably be the best way to go. Hollister has a 1pc called the "Premier", which has a much larger surface area that sticks to your body compared to most of their other 2pc systems. This might help, but the fact that the previous one fell off probably means it's not going to be that much better. Let me know if you have any options Not that I'd usually recommend it, but the Cymed products may be worth looking at - they use something called "microskin" for their wafer and even make it a point to market how well their products work in the water or for active lifestyles. Other options to consider: Im in a hot environment in Texas and very fit so do not need convex or anything but do sweat a lot. This likely compound the problem because sweat and adhesives don't get along! edit: ps has there ever been a mass petition to get coloplast to make the 2 peice mio opaque bags without their filter? They list a few in their 2pc Mio Click series: https://www.coloplast.us/sensura-mio-click-drainable-en-us.aspx#section=product-variants_4 #11474 and #11487 are transparent without filters! Good luck!! Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. Thanks for the detailed reply, I have had coloplast send me some samples of the clear bags without filters for the mio which should be in soon but not a fan of clear ones(I use drainables unless playing soccer then closed bags). Also my sister an Rn in Houston said a 10+ year ostomy guy said https://www.medline.com/product/Marathon-Liquid-Skin-Protectant/Skin-Protectants/Z05-PF00054 changed his life as far as helping things stay on. Ordered about 20 of those which I should have today or tomorrow. Don't know if you have tested / reviewed it but they are liquid capsules that protect skin and optimize bonding. He said once you put it on have to put wafer on imdiately to work. He mentioned its new to market but I wouldn't really know. Jon, We have a few things in common; the love for motorcycles and surfboards (in my case that's more trying than surfing). I always wear the one piece sensura mio (change it every morning) combined with an Ostomy Armor. I use this while windsurfing and riding motocross both without any problems sofar. In my case I have the feeling that when I sweat a lot the plate gets a bit milky/white and it sticks even better. This also happens when I am swimming/surfing. I also invested quite a lot in some belts, bands, protectors, etc but this is still my favourite combination. Can you test the one piece with your current belt? Maybe it wouldn't fit so nice but it might give you an idea about the one piece and if it's worth buying a new Stealth Belt for it. -Marco. not a fan of clear ones(I use drainables unless playing soccer then closed bags) Perhaps because you use a stealthbelt it'll be less of a problem to go clear? I pretty much only wear transparent bags! LOL . But they are quite a unique product, that's for sure. Maybe your experience will be different from mine, but I found that it dried too stiff for it to be comfortable - almost like a hard plastic layer. It did help to heal up some problem areas, but I wasn't using it regularly (due to the cost). Good luck! Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. Marco, thanks for the info, I have several 1-p mio's but no they don't fit in belt opening. I have used a 2-p mio adhesive instead of click and it worked with a lot lower profile. Would have to get another stealth belt with larger opening for a 1-p but I do know the adhesive wafer stands up to salt water and heavy sweat unlike anything else I have tried, reluctant to replace 5 belts for something new if can be avoided. I really am thinking about getting into motorcross, it looks fun as hell! My garage is a 600 ninja, 899, and 1199 superleggera. VA, luckily I have good insurance, those vials cost me 1 cent apiece. I'm one of those "evil" people you would never talk to based on what I know about you. I am a petroleum engineer and a lawyer and spent the last 10 years with bp(no longer with them). Funny how things like this bring different people together! Jon, You have some really nice bikes there. I know the Ducati's sound even better than they look. Must be a pleasure to ride them. Compared to this a motocross bike is a bit "basic/simple". :) Hope you soon find the setup that ticks all the boxes for you.
