My mom has an ileostomy. Recently she's becone incapable of caring for herself, and we tried the M9 drops. I can't believe how well this product works !!! It is pricey, but the advantage of being able to feel comfortable emptying your bag anywhere, is well worth the cost.
Yes I do find it works better if you use slightly more than suggested on the label.

That's wonderful to hear, Heather!

If you have insurance, they'll cover this product. I'm with Green Shield Canada.

I am using this product currently. I'm not impressed. It's so thin so it all just runs down to the bottom of the pouch, what good does that do?

Hi Julie,

The M9 drops are not a lubricating product, so it won't stick to the inside of the bag. But it should mix with output at the bottom of the bag, like other non-libricating deodorants.

If you're looking for something that isn't as runny, check out the lubricating deodorants and see if they work better for you.

Take care,

Eric

All I can say is "Woo hoo!" This stuff really works! I am one who loves garlic and as I have a colostomy, and the output tends to have a strong odor, this has been fantastic!

Awesome! Glad it works for you, too! How much are you using at a time?

Love love, love M9...It is not covered for me but it really should be! I was sure I was a stinky person like a child in a full diaper. I was terrified to go anywhere with an active  stoma. It affected my life something  awful. I would turn down invites because I needed to stay close to the throne room. Then the pharmacist  in another  town said to try M9.  This product made all the  world of difference for me. I go where I please,  when I please, all the time now. I also got brave about confronting store managers about needing to use there toilets and being  told  to go to a restaurant nearby to use that instead. Well, when you need  to empty, you need  to empty! Once I smile and explain my situation I also promise to leave the room as clean as I find it, It became  like a key to the throne room of life!!! Okay, on the odd occasion, some  would hold out and I would say fine, if my pouch falls off before I get to the door, I'm not stopping to clean it up. That always gets me in! Lol!!! Where there's a will,  there's a way.

Sorry Eric,

I didn't check this topic for a while! I only use a few drops - approximately 12 at a time.  I also use this in combo with mineral oil, which is pretty slick when emptying my bag.
