I did way back in my Crohn's Disease adventure, but decided to get back into it after a friend inspired me.

I was thinking that sprouts are actually the "perfect" meal for those who can't eat a lot of greens and veg, since they are much easier to digest, and are packed with nutrients.

And I found it! The "Melty Stretchy Gooey Vegan Mozzarella" recipe from It Doesn't Taste Like Chicken is quite amazing.

We've put it on several pizzas already, and had them on some homemade burritos last night.

It's gooey, but doesn't melt. I'll probably look for a different recipe if I want cheese that melts, but this works great and on pizza you end up biting into these delicious globs 😀

Hi everyone, it's been a while (hope you're all well!)

I'm wondering if anyone else is having the same puzzle which I am, in that because I've got a very active Ileostomy (short bowel syndrome) I need to eat starchy carbs regularly to stop me dropping like a rhino from fluid loss. This works well because it slows my gut down and thickens my output enough so I can absorb nutrients, the downside is over the 5 years I've been on this diet (as the meds to slow gut motility didn't work), I've been gaining weight.

Don't get me wrong, I don't look like a marshmallow, but the weight gain is noticeable. As I'm not eating to deal with hunger (just to control my quirky intestines), I don't know if it's even possible to lose the weight (exercise is tricky with a parastomal hernia)?

My kid loves these.

Goldie’s Tehina Shakes are unlike anything we’ve ever tasted before. Tahini lends its nutty flavor into this gratifying sweet shake that’s anything but your typical milkshake. Made vegan and naturally dairy-free, this creamy, decadent drink has been a runaway hit since the inception of Michael Solomonov’s and Steven Cook’s Goldie in April 2017. Now you can make them at home, too!

@tigerlily or anyone here ... I would love your recipes for these sauces please. Can you tell me what gets dipped in them?

As of late I've been doing an over haul of my tolerable foods for my ever so cranky miserable disastrous guts! They are For Sale if you want them...price free!! Lol!

For me eating the regular meats potatoes/rice & veg meals are causing havoc with my pain sensors & are proving that meats especially are very hard for me to digest. Between my eyes & wanting to make a better choice I feel frustrated with the time I'm not able to spend on screen looking for the right foods.

I would love advice on which foods that have the higher amounts of Iron & proteins & *vegetables are a must for me. Amazingly I can eat salads & I start with a lettuce base & add all sorts of peeled raw veggies then couscous or quinoa on top as well as fish of some kind.

So I get my veggies but eating that every day is not really good as all food groups need to be covered to get the daily requirements of vitamins & minerals our body needs to function. But I need good easy to make & digest cooked foods also. So any ideas & recipes leaning into the world of Vegan would be fabulous!!

I've looked into the nutritional yeast thing but wow, the stomach upset is not worth it to me, so any recipes with what I may have in my pantry are welcome. I can't afford the specialty vegan items as the yeast, my sister gave me a fair bit to try, also my small town just does not have the demand to bring the items in. I was lucky to find tofu here as it is!

So yes! Pretty please with a little sugar on top.. recipes are welcome & I'll try anything for my cranky guts unless it *crawls* on the ground!! Lol! Fish recipes welcome too. I find the right sauce makes foods even more enjoyable!

So I picked up a paella "kit" from Amazon a little while back, but never had a chance to make any.

It came with the spices, dried pepper, the rice, and a pan to cook it all in 😃

Due to the crazy high cost of fresh produce, I improvised with some frozen veg and used tofu as the protein.

Needless to say, we'll be making more of this 100%. No issues at all digesting it.

Any other paella lovers?
